Informal teaching programme aims to boost student’s performance

Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School in Kampong Katok organised an ‘An-Najah’ programme yesterday.

Assistant Director for Services and Corporate at the Islamic Studies Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Rusli bin Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour.

The initiative aimed to create an informal teaching programme outside the classroom.

It is also part of the school’s intervention programme to improve students’ achievements. The organisers set up booths for exhibitions, quizzes and games.

The exhibitions portray works from Arabic Language, Al-Quran, Science, English, Maths, Malay and Mawad Diniyyah (religious) subjects.

The objectives were to enhance students’ achievements, to diversify learning styles, to implement self-reliance among students, to generate students’ interest in the subject through activities and enhance friendship among Arabic school students.
