Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia’s ties have grown from strength to strength both at government to government and people to people levels.

This was highlighted by High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam Ismail bin Haji Salam during the reception of the 62nd anniversary of the Malaysian National Day and 56th anniversary of Malaysia Day at The Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.

“Great strides have been made in the form of Exchange of Letters (EoL) and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on wide range of bilateral issues. The Annual Leaders Consultation (ALC) held alternately in Bandar Seri Begawan and Putrajaya is the highest level mechanism for addressing bilateral issues.”

Representing His Majesty’s Gov-ernment at the reception was Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong accompanied by his spouse Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohamad.
