Emulate teachers’ perseverance, students told

Students should show appreciation to teachers beyond sentiments and gifts, said Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School (SM RIPAS) Principal Hajah Amal Nuriyah binti Haji Ahmad Kumpoh.

“Students should emulate teachers’ perseverance in search of knowledge,” she said at the school’s Teacher’s Day celebration yesterday.

Peer Counsellors (PRS) Head Suzardi bin Mohammad Aliyas led the recitation of Surah Al- Fatihah.

The event was enlivened by video presentations, choir performance, quizzes, awards for teachers, choral reading, teacher’s day greetings, songs and Dikir Barat performance.

School prefects and Years 7, 9 and 10 PRS members, in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Religious Knowledge (IRK), Students’ Affair Section and Counselling unit, organised the event, which ended with a slide presentation expressing students’ appreciation.
