Delegation leaves for nine-day China discovery trip

A delegation comprising four lecturers and 26 students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) left the country for a nine-day ‘Discovery Trip to China’ yesterday with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Brunei Darussalam.

The delegation will visit Peking University (PKU), Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Northwest University (NWU), where they will interact with Chinese teachers and students.

They will also experience Chinese history and culture by visiting renowned cultural and historical sites.

‘Discovery Trip to China’ is an annual programme for the people-to-people exchanges between China and Brunei.

Several groups of Bruneian students visited Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Dalian and Changchun under the programme.
