Crime prevention briefing for members of Diplomatic Corps

Twenty-four members of the Diplomatic Corps attended a briefing on crime prevention hosted by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) recently.

Held at the Officer’s Mess of the RBPF, the first of its kind session was chaired by RBPF Commissioner Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali.

Also in attendance were Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Nor bin Haji Jeludin and directors and officers of the RBPF and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The session began with recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by A/Sgt6472 Mohammad Yusri bin Haji Abu Bakar followed by an opening remark by the Commissioner of Police.

The talk was facilitated by Acting Director of the Criminal Investigation Department ACP Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Hassan bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad.

Among the topics at the session was the incidents of break-ins at a number of offices and houses of foreign diplomats.

He also adviced on safety measures to prevent crime. The session concluded with a question-and-answer session.

The meeting also reflected an understanding and cooperation between the police and Diplomatic Corps.
