Brunei student re-appointed as President of ALSA International Board

Fourth year student in Syariah and Law Faculty at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Nur Amalina binti Haji Abdul Ghani was elected as the Secretary General of ALSA (Asian Law Students’ Association) International 2019/2020 during the Annual General Assembly of ALSA Forum Cebu 2019.

However, due to the vacant post of President of ALSA International 2019/2020 during the Special Assembly on September 1, Nur Amalina was re-appointed as the President of ALSA International Board 2019/2020 after winning the votes of the Governing Council members.

She was the first Bruneian to hold such post in the history of ALSA Brunei. Meanwhile, Dayangku Nur Atiqah binti Pengiran Haji Abas was awarded as Best Delegate in Group 9 for Academic Activities involvement in ALSA Forum Cebu 2019.

ALSA is a non-political and non-profit association that welcomes cultural diversity and advances professionalism and hard-working ethics.

ALSA is continually improving as a premier association that provides the venue for bright law students to develop as future leaders and major players of Asia.

There are 15 ALSA National Chapters across Asia including Brunei Darussalam. Brunei was admitted to full membership in 2010.
