Body in blanket: Suspect’s remand order extended

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) – A Malaysian, suspected in connection with the murder of a woman, whose body was found wrapped in a blanket in an apartment in Prima Damansara Petaling Jaya last week, has been remanded for  another six days.

Petaling Jaya Police Chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the remand on the suspect would continue until September 27. “The suspect who was earlier remanded for a week will have his remand extended to facilitate investigations into the case,” he said when contacted yesterday.

Last Sunday, police arrested the 40-year-old man at about 1.30am after he surrendered himself at the Tampin District Police Headquarters in Negeri Sembilan.
