97 camp participants on better footing

Ninety-seven Years 6 and 11 students received prizes and certificates following the completion of the recent four-day Motivational Camp of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s Education Intervention Programme (PIP) 2019, held at the PKBN Training Camp in Temburong district.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Security and Welfare) at the Ministry of Home Affairs cum guest of honour Ajman bin Haji Meludin awarded the students in his capacity as a committee member of Meneliti Bantuan-Bantuan Yayasan.

The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by a welcoming address by Assistant Director of Yayasan Haji Musthapa bin Haji Matahir, and a speech by student representatives Ahmad Muizzaddin bin Mohamad and Norsahrina binti Sikin.

The four-day camp aimed to cultivate a positive spirit, develop and shape students to be faithful, disciplined, confident, responsible and credible.

The camp is part of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s PIP project for the school term holiday and a Yayasan initiative to help improve the educational attainment of low-income families by providing guidance in contining their education to the next level.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Youth and Sports) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said, Acting Temburong District Officer Abdul Ghani bin Haji Othman, assistant managing directors of Yayasan; penghulu and village head of Kampong Batu Apoi also attended.
