The 16th China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) is being held from today to September 29 in Nanning, China. Ten ASEAN member countries including Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos are taking part at the four-day expo.
The CAEXPO, alongside with the China–ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), continues to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between the People’s Republic of China with ASEAN member countries.
A press conference was held yesterday at the Nanning Yongzhou Hotel to disseminate information about activities and events taking place during the expo.
Spokesperson for China Ministry of Commerce Gao Feng said that this year would be the first year for the implementation of the China–ASEAN Strategic Partnership Vision 2030 and the China–ASEAN Year of Media Exchanges.
The 16th CAEXPO and CABIS will be centred on the theme of ‘Building the Belt & Road, Realizing Our Vision for a Community of Shared Future’.
This year CAEXPO is expanded to 134,000 square metres – 10,000 bigger than the previous expo. A total of 2,848 companies will attend the expo, up 2.4 per cent from last year.
