Three Arabic schools battle out in quiz competition

The Arabic School Division under the Islamic Studies Department held a quiz competition on the Brunei Religious Education Certificate (SPUB) examination at the multipurpose hall of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPRIPAHS) last Saturday.

The competition was held as part of the intervention programmes under Ilal Majdi Wal ‘Ula programme.

Head of the Arabic School Division at the Islamic Studies Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Pengiran Mohamad Aminuddin bin Pengiran Haji Hussin was the guest of honour.

The programme was co-organised with the Arabic Language Division, Al-Quran Division and Mawad Ad-Diniyyah Division of SUAMPRIPAHS. The participants of the quiz comprised Year 11 students from SUAMPRIPAHS,  Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPRIPAD) and Ma’had Islam Brunei.

The objectives of the quiz were to evaluate the students’ level of understanding and knowledge on subjects taught by teachers, to practise the culture of revision as well as to encourage and raise the students’ confidence when speaking in Arabic Language.
