Four mosques in the Belait District held religious talks (Tazkirah) after the Subuh prayer yesterday.

At the Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait, Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Akup bin Haji Lamat said that reflecting on the reality of death helps people to set clear goals in this world and the hereafter by prioritising worship and distancing themselves from moral crimes.

At the RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque in Kuala Belait, Mosque Affairs Officer Abdul Qayyuum bin Haji Aminnuddin said that those in the daily habit of reciting Al-Quran would receive assistance in the form of intercession from Al-Quran on the Day of Resurrection.

At the Pekan Seria Mosque, Mosque Officer Haji Aminordin bin Haji Yussof emphasised on the sincerity of performing worship for the sake of Allah the Almighty.

“In the same manner, our work must be done with sincere intentions for the sake of Allah the Almighty. Sincerity bestows benefits on the completed work,” he said.

At the Kampong Labi Mosque, the talk focussed on the spiritual gains of reciting the Syahadah (the Islamic profession of faith).

In addition to enhancing the religious atmosphere at mosques and expanding Islamic teachings, the programme is also aimed at boosting knowledge and goodwill among the congregation.
