Roadshow educates public on Brunei LNG’s operations

Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd (Brunei LNG) conducted a roadshow on its operations and impacts to the surrounding community at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Liang Lumut Recreation Club (LLRC) yesterday.

The roadshow was part of the company’s annual activity to provide a platform to disseminate information pertaining to their operations and projects.

As one of Brunei LNG’s annual engagement with its key external stakeholders, the roadshow was aimed at providing awareness on Brunei LNG’s operations and projects.

The roadshow also aimed to address concerns that may arise with regard to environmental impacts, especially during shutdown and start-up period; and assure its neighbours and community that safety of its employees, business partners, and the community as well as protecting the environment remains a priority.

The audience included senior officials from government agencies, neighbouring companies, business partners, as well as principals and headmasters from schools in Mukim Liang/Lumut.

Production Utilities Manager Mohammad Raymin bin Othman briefed on Brunei LNG followed by a briefing by Change Management lead Huzaimie bin Mustapha.

The event also saw topics related to Turnaround Maintenance Activity carried out by Brunei LNG discussed by Senior General Manager, Plant Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Awang Bakar; as well as Fuel and Loss by senior technologist Norihramniza Ramlee.

Encroachment – Illegal Fishing was also discussed, led by Marketing and Maritime Operations Muhammad Hassanal Adilah bin Haji Mohd Junaidi.
