The importance of honesty and integrity at the workplace was the subject of this week’s pre-dawn talk at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.

The talk was delivered by training officer at the Civil Service Institute of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Pengiran Haji Mohammad Ali Noor bin Pengiran Haji Ismail.

He said that all employees in the public and private sectors should perform their duties and functions in a responsible manner.

“An honest employee will distance himself from matters that can compromise his integrity and affect the organisation as a whole,” he said.

This week’s programme was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and the Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam (PSW), with the support of the PMO.

In attendance were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang.

Initiated by MoRA through its Mosque Affairs Department, the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the Islamic Syiar Development Division, the talk is part of the Masjidku Makmur, Negaraku Berkat programme to encourage the presence of more worshippers for the mass Subuh prayers at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
