New graduates urged to work for country’s development

The 289 students of the 9th Hafl Al-Takharruj of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) who graduate tomorrow should apply and share the knowledge gained through their studies and contribute to the development of the community and country, UNISSA Registrar and chairperson of the UNISSA 9th Hafl Al-Takharruj Hajah Surianah binti Haji Alias said.

She made these comments at the full-dress rehearsal of the 9th Hafl Al-Takharruj of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) held at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas yesterday.

Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman witnessed the full-dress rehearsal.

Hajah Surianah said out of the 289 graduates, three will receive PhD, 20 Master’s Degree while 174 will receive Bachelor’s Degree, eight Post-graduate Diploma and 84 the Higher National Diploma.

“I hope all graduates will be employed so that they can support their families.

“The graduates not only received knowledge based on their programmes, but also learnt about leadership, teamwork, projects through co-curriculum and activities provided by UNISSA,” she said.

Deputy Minister of Education Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad and Rector of UNISSA Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal were also in attendance.
