Mudslide in Pakistani-administered Kashmir kills seven

MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan (AP) – Pakistani police said a mudslide after heavy rains killed seven members of a single family, including five children, in Pakistani-administered Kashmir.

Police official Raja Zulqarnain said yesterday that the seven died when their house collapsed the previous day in the village of Ajeera.

Two other village homes were damaged. The village lies near the militarised Line of Control in the district of Rawla Kot.

Zulqarnain said rescue teams with the help of villagers retrieved the bodies of those killed.
