This programme, in particular is on the essay writing genre to widen writing vision and techniques by changing creative experience among participants and mentors. It also serves as one method to understand the world of writing for a diverse nation by reading literature works produced by participating countries.
The programme is one of the Mastera community projects that have been decided to be implemented at the 24th Mastera meeting at The Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong in September last year, and at the Mastera Meeting Report at Wisma Geylang Serai in Singapore this April.
The programme aims to help young writers from Mastera member countries (Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore) expand their literature vision and correct writing technique capabilities, as well as allow young writers to know further on the writing situation in neighboring countries and benefit from views and critics between young and senior writers.
It also serves to share experience among the writers and mentors on the correct way of essay writing.
The Brunei delegation will leave for Indonesia today and return home on August 26.
