His Majesty the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Al-Marhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj made a visit to the Royal Regalia Museum in the capital yesterday.
The Malaysian royals were accompanied by their daughters Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafizatullah and Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah ‘Athiyatullah.
Present as Royals-in-Attendance were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara.
Also present were Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong as Minister-in-Attendance and his spouse; and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Paduka Haji Abidin and his spouse.
Upon arrival, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong, together with their delegation, posed for a group photograph with the Usongan Diraja (royal chariot).
The royals were then ushered for a closer look at the Royal Exhibition Gallery in Zone ‘B’, presenting the life history of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Prior their departure from the Royal Regalia Museum, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong signed the visitors’ book, and later received a gift presented by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Later in the day, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong visited the Kampong Ayer, while Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong visited the Arts and Handicrafts Centre in the capital, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
While touring the centre, Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong took a closer look at the various processes involved in the production of Bruneian arts and handicrafts.
Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong then visited the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association (PPPBD) Headquarters in Kampong Anggerek Desa, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna.
The arrival of Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong was welcomed by Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, President of PPPBD, and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah.
Following her arrival, Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong consented to plant a tree in the gardening area on the side of the PPPBD Headquarters. She also had the opportunity to take part in a cooking demonstration with the girl guides, and even joined in a group dance with them.
Prior to departing, Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong signed the visitors’ book and received a pesambah from the PPPBD members.
