Local netball team to compete in Thailand meet

THAILAND  Netball Federation has invited local netball club Angel Net to take part in the Thailand Netball Open Championships 2019, which will be held at the Chonburi Province in Thailand starting today until August 9.

A total of 12 players and four team officials including a coach, assistant coach and physio led by team manager Rosni binti Haji Yahya left the country for Bangkok yesterday.

The players selected to take part in the tournament are Cynthia Simbilan, Darina Safri, Faizah Azni, Fazz Rasit, Maza Sujar, Nana Suhaimi, Nane Hasnani, Nur Haziqah Mazlani, Safwanah Abdul Malik, Safwah Sajali, Uzma Khairuddin and team captain Wong Jo Lin.

Teams participating in the competition are Sneakers Netball Club from Singapore, Bukit Jalil Sports School from Malaysia, Hantang Netball Club from Hong Kong, South West Jets Netball Club from Perth, Australia, Angel Netball Club from Brunei Darussalam as well as Thailand Netball Team ‘A’ and ‘B’.

The competition will be held at the Institute of Physical Education Chonburi Campus.
