Last batch of Haj pilgrims get warm welcome home

The fourth batch of 254 Haj pilgrims from Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd (DHSB) safely arrived in Brunei Darussalam at 10.20am yesterday.

The pilgrims were welcomed by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB).

Also present to welcome the pilgrims were a representative of Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) ACP Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Hassan bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Awang Ahmad; representative of the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam Meshal Abdullah A Habshan; permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and Ministry of Health along with senior officials of MoRA and managing directors of Haj operator companies.

Three Haj medical management officers and an officer from DHSB also arrived.

A Doa Selamat was read by Mosque Affairs Officer Muhammad Amin bin Haji Salim to bless the Haj pilgrims.
