THE Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Brunei Darussalam recently held an orientation briefing for four Bruneian students who were granted the Korean Government Scholarship (GKS), as well as students bound for Korea under the 2019 Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Discovery Year Programme (DYP).

Third Secretary at the Korean Embassy Kim Jin-eun began the event by welcoming attendees and providing them with tips and information on Korea.

The students also saw presentations delivered by GKS graduates Lee Seck Chun and Nurdiyana binti Muhammad Hasrin, and previous DYP student Mazfazillah bin Maikal.

The event intended to equip students with useful details on Korean society, culture and education system, so that they will be better prepared.

Prior to the orientation briefing, a meeting was held between the Korean Embassy and GKS graduates, to select the head for the GKS alumni and discuss their functions.
