Indonesian detained for alleged 4D involvement

An Indonesian woman allegedly involved in four-digit lottery (4D) gambling at a residence in Seria on August 14 was nabbed by Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) officers following a tip-off.

Investigations revealed the woman was involved in collecting 4D gambling betting slips from lottery buyers.

The suspect, Siti Rohmayati, 41, was employed as a waitress.

The authorities also seized pieces of paper with numbers written on it, believed to be used for gambling.

The case is being investigated under Section 6 (1) of the Common Gambling Houses Act, Chapter 28.

The RBPF said any suspicious activities can be reported by contacting their hotline at 993.
