High Commission to mark Pakistan Independence Day on August 14

THE High Commission of Pakistan in Brunei Darussalam will hold a flag-hoisting ceremony to mark the 73rd Pakistan Independence Day at 9am on August 14, at the Chancery of the High Commission of Pakistan in Brunei Darussalam at No 15, Simpang 247-3, Jalan Berakas, Kampong Lambak Kanan.

Acting High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam Ahmed Ali Sirohey will hoist the national flag and read out messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

All Pakistanis and friends of Pakistan residing in Brunei Darussalam are invited.

An Islamic Art and Culture Exhibition will also be held from August 16-24 at the Brunei Darussalam Maritime Museum in Kota Batu in conjunction with the Independence Day celebrations.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin will inaugurate the exhibition on August 14 at 2pm as the guest of honour.

Heads of diplomatic missions in Brunei Darussalam and invited guests are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony for the expo.

The exhibition will open to the general public on August 16.
