The 4th Financial Fun Fair concluded at the Jerudong Park Colonnade yesterday.
Guests participated in several activities centred on financial planning.
The event was organised by Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) in collaboration with Employees Trust Fund (TAP), Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE), Junior Achievement (JA) Brunei, as well as other financial institutions.
The event, themed ‘Fusion of Green and Technology’, highlighted the importance of being eco-friendly and how technology can support the act when making financial transactions.
Several activities were held at the event to promote financial literacy. The activities included a Financial Race, where participants’ fitness and financial literacy were tested as they raced through the Jerudong Park Playground while deciphering clues and answering financial-related questions.
Team Chill2, comprising Chong Ming Rui and Lim Sin Yi, won the event.
“This is the first time we joined the competition and we are happy to have won it,” said Chong Ming Rui, in an interview with the Bulletin. “It tested our mental and physical abilities. It was also useful to learn through the race.”
Acting Assistant Managing Director of AMBD Mardini bin Haji Eddie presented prizes to the winners.
Meanwhile, Nafri Manaf won the QR Code Competition. His QR Code design was used to access clues in the Financial Race.
Acting Assistant Managing Director of AMBD Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat presented the prize.
Team GGC, comprising Muhammad Syazwan bin Sarifudin, Ahmad Hamizan bin Haji Shahri and Muhammad Afiq Rafieuddin bin Haji Burhanuddin, won the Financial Bootcamp. The three-day programme for students from local universities and higher education institutions was held to develop innovative financial products.
Acting Deputy Managing Director of AMBD Hajah Rashidah binti Haji Sabtu presented prizes to the winners.
Personnel from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) also performed at the event.
