Anniversary marked with Khatam Al-Quran

Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam held 25 Times Khatam Al-Quran at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis/Madang to mark its 25th anniversary yesterday.

Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman in his capacity as the President of Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) was the guest of honour.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud; Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar; Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin who are members of the MUIB, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar as the Chairperson of the Badan Tanmiah Board of Directors and member of Board of Directors Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin were also present.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Minister of Religious Affairs, followed by Doa Khatam and Dikir Marhaban led by Imam of the mosque Haji Jofri bin Haji Abidin.

A Doa Kesyukuran and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan was read by Imam of the mosque. The event concluded with mass Asar prayer.

Attendees also viewed an exhibition on Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam establishment.
