School’s PSR Aspiration Ceremony motivates students

BENGKURONG Primary School held its first ‘PSR Aspiration Ceremony’ at the Multimedia Theatre of Sengkurong Sixth Form Centre yesterday.

Head of Cluster 2, Department of Schools Metussin bin Haji Jais was the guest of honour.

Headmistress of Bengkurong Primary School Atikah Rumaizah binti Dr Haji Harun said the event was aimed at instilling motivation among the school’s Year 6 students who will soon be sitting for the Primary School Assessment (PSR) examinations and celebrating former Year 6 students from the school who achieved excellent results in the 2018 PSR.

The event also featured a speech from a student with excellent 2018 PSR results. Dayangku Fitriyah Haziqah binti Pengiran Mahali shared her advice with Year 6 students underlining the importance of determination and revision, managing time wisely and being prepared.

Another highlight of the ceremony was a forum, where a panel comprising students who successfully completed PSR and their parents shared their experiences and preparations for the examination.

The event continued with the presentation of incentive prizes to those who achieved excellent results in the 2018 PSR. Souvenirs and certificates were presented to the forum’s panel and Year 6 teachers, followed by the recitation of Doa Selamat.
