“For remembering the school’s 25 years of history, we have prepared a variety of activities leading up to our silver jubilee celebrations, which include the Cleanathon, Family Day celebration, the handing of the road signage welcoming motorists to the surrounding area of RPN Kampong Lumut, and more. This was our way to give back to the community,” Halizawati highlighted in her speech.

She praised Brunei LNG for its numerous aid contributions to the school as part of the company’s Strategic Social Investment Focus, which have “made positive impact on the academic development of the students over the past 25 years.” She also thanked the school’s former principal, teachers and staff for nurturing the students into excellent role models.

Mohamad Husini highlighted the importance of educational institutions such as SMPAPHRSB.

“These institutions provide the basic foundation for the youth of the country with the knowledge they need,” he said. “As such, the Brunei LNG management from time to time will take the opportunity to aid their process of teaching and learning to ensure that their operation runs smoothly. The company has initiatives to appreciate students and teachers for their hard work, one being the Brunei LNG Academic Excellence Award held annually.”

The celebration continued with a series of performances by students and teachers and the presentation of certificates to teachers who demonstrated teaching excellence.
