Rise in membership for mosque youth groups

MOSQUE Affairs Officer Haji Yusli bin Haji Ashli yesterday stressed about the rise in membership for mosque youth groups throughout the country, has now reached 2,565.

He made these comments when the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), in collaboration with the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque Takmir Committee organised the Nationwide Ukhwah Mosque Youth Group event at Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Sengkurong yesterday in commemoration of the Hari Raya celebration.

Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof was the guest of honour. Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Seruddin bin Haji Timbang, Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Salleh and Acting Penghulu of Mukim Sengkurong Dr Haji Abdullah Hanif bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Dinda Haji Saman were also present.

The event aimed to strengthen relations between the administration staff of the Mosque Affairs Department and members of the various mosque youth groups.

The event featured a meet-and-greet session with the guest of honour and some 150 members of various mosque youth groups, as well as performances by the mosque youth groups.
