Restaurant brings Thai flavour to diners

THE Brunei Hotel’s Choices Restaurant officially launched its Thai food promo yesterday.

Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Sales and Catering Manager Robert Rubillar said, “Themed Thai Food Redefined, our dedicated chefs are committed to give their best in preparing the variety of Thai food for guests and has received quite a positive response from diners to the restaurant during the test run.”

Dishes offered are Som Tam (papaya salad), Yam Woon Sen (tang hoon salad), Gai Ho Bai Toei (Pandan chicken), Tod Mun Pha (Thai fish cake), Cha Gio (Thai crispy spring rolls), Thai beef lime salad, Tom Yam Gung (prawn and seafood) in clear or creamy soup and the Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut soup).

The restaurant is also offering red and green curry dishes as one of the main course choices.

As for the Ho Mok (Thai curry fish custard, similar to the Bruneian Pais dish), diners are advised to order in advance as the chef needs about an hour to prepare the dish.

Other food items on the Thai Redefined dishes also include Sukiyaki (Thai Sukiyaki Soup), Massaman curry, Pad Thai, fried Thai mango seabass, Pattaya fried rice and hot chili long bean with choices of chicken, beef or seafood and to wash it down, diners can go for the specially prepared Khao Niow Ma Muang (sticky mango rice). Rubillar added that diners can also advise the service staff on their preferred level of spiciness.

The Thai Redefined will be incorporated as their Ala Carte menu.
