A ROADBLOCK operation was carried out by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) at the surrounding areas of the Sungai Tujoh Police Station near the Brunei-Sarawak border on Thursday.

Beginning at 8am, the roadblock saw Kuala Belait Police Station officers together with the RBPF Reserve Unit conducting a thorough inspection of vehicles passing by.

The police officers used the ‘Stop and Search’ and ‘Stop and Talk’ concept to establish interaction and trust between the RBPF and passing civilians.

The roadblock, held over the course of two hours, resulted in no criminal acts being recorded that violated the Road Traffic Act.

With the success of the roadblock held, the RBPF, especially the Kuala Belait Police Station, will continue to conduct similar operation in the near future to ensure that violations to national laws are to be swiftly handled, which will help maintain peace and harmony in the country.
