FORTY-SIX officers and staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and departments under it will perform Haj this year.
In view of this, a Doa Selamat ceremony was held at the ministry yesterday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman was the guest of honour.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of Doa Selamat by Mosque Affairs Officer Mudim Haji Amran bin Haji Md Salleh to seek blessings from Allah the Almighty and safe passage of the intending Haj pilgrims.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar; Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang; directors, assistant directors and senior officers at the ministry were also present.

THE Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) held a Doa Selamat ceremony for six intending Haj pilgrims comprising staff members of the ministry at the VIP Room of the MPRT building yesterday.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong presented the donations, contributed by officers and staff of the ministry and the departments under it, to the intending Haj pilgrims.
Acting permanent secretary, heads of departments and senior officers of MPRT and the departments under it were also present.

THE Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) and departments under it alongside with the enforcement agencies organised a Doa Selamat ceremony for 10 intending Haj pilgrims at Amar Pahlawan Hall of MTIC and coordinated by the Department of Civil Aviation yesterday.
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof was present.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by welcoming remarks from Acting Director of Civil Aviation Mohammad Fauzi bin Mohammad Sidek, chairman of the organising committee.
The chairman hoped that the contribution of donation will assist the intending Haj pilgrims.
The ceremony also saw a religious talk by Haji Muhammad Naqib bin Haji Awang from the Islamic Da’wah Centre sharing knowledge on Meraih Haji Yang Mabrur.
It was followed by the presentation of donations to the intending Haj pilgrims by the minister.
Permanent secretary at the MTIC; deputy permanent secretary; Chief Executive of Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam, and Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam; heads of departments; and senior officers were also present.

THE Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held a Sunnat Hajat prayer and a Doa Selamat ceremony for 31 intending Haj pilgrims comprising officers and staff of the ministry and departments under it at the ministry’s Surau yesterday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was the guest of honour.
The ceremony started with a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer, followed by the recitation of Ratib Al-Attas and Doa Selamat.
The ceremony continued with the singing of the national anthem, recitation of Al-Quran verses and a religious talk on Meraih Haji Yang Mabrur by Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Fuad, an Al-Quran teacher at the Department of Youth and Sports at the Citra Budaya Hall in the ministry’s building.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of donations to the intending Haj pilgrims by the minister.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Hajat and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, directors, senior officers and officials of the MCYS and the departments under it were also present.
