Indonesian delegation visits Islamic Da’wah Centre

INDONESIAN delegation representing the Pengurus Cabang Badan Kontak Majelis Taklim Kecamatan Jongkong Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, Kalimantan Barat visited the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) in Berakas on Friday.

Indra Abdulrahman led the 45-member delegation.

Upon arrival, the delegation was welcomed by PDI Acting Assistant Director Ali Hassan bin Haji Mohd Said. During the visit, the delegation took a closer look on how the Muallaf Guidance class was carried out and toured the Muallaf Crafts Shop and Barakah Incubator.

The delegation earlier visited the Kampong Bebuloh Religious Activity House and joined the mass Maghrib and Isyak prayers.

The delegation also interacted and communicated with residents of Kampong Bebuloh and witnessed performances by the residents and members of the Nurul Iman Association.

Prior to their arrival in Brunei Darussalam, the delegation visited several places in Sarawak including Lubok Antu, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri. The visit was part of the programme under the Perjalanan Titian Muhibbah that has been carried out since July 1 in collaboration with Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah and Board of Muallaf Development Management of Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu.

The objective of the programme apart from forging closer Islamic ties was also to establish network of them and related Islamic Affairs Bodies in Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak).
