Haj advance party leaves for early preparations in Saudi Arabia

FIVE Haj administration officers and eight medical officers departed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last Sunday, in advance of this year’s Haj season.

Led by Head of Haj Management (Administration) Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohammad, the delegates boarded Flight BI007, in order to begin the necessary preparations for the arrival of Haj pilgrims from Brunei Darussalam.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar were among those present to see off the delegates at the Brunei International Airport.

Also present were Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof; and the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang.
