Four–wheel drive expedition flagged off

MEMBERS of the Tutong District Four Wheel Drive Vehicle Association left to participate in the Northern Sarawak Expedition 2019 organised by the Oiltown 4×4 Adventure Club (OAC) recently.

The flag off was officiated by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali.

The event began with an introduction of the guest of honour to the participants as well as the installation of the Brunei national flag on participants’ vehicles and concluded with the flag off.

Leading the Brunei delegation of 10 four wheel drive vehicles comprising about 20 participants, was the President of the Tutong District Four Wheel Drive Vehicle Association Sha’ari bin Haji Zunaidi.

The six-day expedition began on July 3 from Brunei Darussalam through Miri, Sarawak, towards Marudi, Mulu, back to Marudi and Miri which will cover a total distance of about 700km before concluding tomorrow.

The aim of the expedition was to foster closer ties and to establish a network between associations and clubs within and outside the country.
