Discussions held to monitor crime activities

THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) conducted several Neighbourhood Watch programmes to monitor crime activities and foster closer cooperation.

Corporal 4604 Hasnan bin Ali led his team to the residence of former village head of Kampong Sungai Matan Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Zainal as the Focal Point of the Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Central Police Station.

Acting Village Head of Kampong Sungai Matan Zulkhari bin Haji Junaidi along with four members of Neighbourhood Watch of Kampong Sungai Matan also supported the programme.

The discussions focussed on sharing information on crime statistics and upcoming activities planned for the village.

The team also conducted patrol to monitor locations that often become gathering places during night time, power stations and Kampong Sungai Matan bridge and its surroundings.

In the Belait District, crime prevention patrol was conducted by the Neighbourhood Watch of Kampong Pandan ‘C’ with the Focal Point of the Kuala Belait Police Station.

The patrol covered several venues including lagoon, Kampong Pandan Terrace Housing, government flats in Kampong Pandan and along the vicinity of Kampong Pandan ‘C’.

Corporal 2721 Shamsudin bin Haji Naim headed the patrol with five Neighbourhood Watch members led by Village Head of Kampong Pandan ‘C’ Haji Affendy bin Haji Awang Damit. No suspicious criminal activities were detected.
