DARUSSALAM Holdings Sdn Bhd (DHSB) Haj Advance party group led by its Managing Director Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohamed, who is also the Head of delegation, departed from the Brunei International Airport to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to make the preparation to welcome the arrival of DHSB Haj pilgrims this year.
A total of 785 intended pilgrims out of 1,000 Haj quota given to Brunei will join DHSB Haj packages this year.
Fourteen DHSB officers will accompany them.
According to Haji Mahmud, the advance party will conduct a series of meetings with various parties and ensure the logistics including hotel, transportation and meal arrangement are in order.
Twenty medical team members and five from Bi’thaah Haj from the Department of Haj Management, Ministry of Religious Affairs, also left for Saudi.
This year, Brunei Darussalam will have four special flights to Saudi. The first batch will depart to Jeddah on July 18.
