A DELEGATION of 20 Chinese businessmen and businesswomen from the construction industry sector led by Executive President of China-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) Xu Ningning visited the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD).

They were welcomed on arrival by NCCIBD’s Deputy President Malcolm Lim and Vice President Haji Abdul Saman bin Haji Ahmad.

Deputy Secretary General of NCCIBD Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Saim gave a presentation and introduction on NCCIBD when it was first mooted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1985 to represent Brunei businesses in the international arena.

They exchanged views and ideas on possible closer business cooperation.

NCCIBD also gave a presentation on the present construction industry condition, suggested areas of potential development, condition and law related to the set-up of a Sendirian Berhad company in Brunei Darussalam.

The CABC delegates will leave Brunei Darussalam today. Brunei is part of their series of visits which also take them to Indonesia and Malaysia.

The NCCIBD is working hard to lure more foreign direct investment (FDI) to the country.
