THE Co-curriculum Unit and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Sekolah Alif Sdn Bhd in Kuala Belait organised a fun-filled sporting event at the Silver Jubilee Park, Kuala Belait recently.

Over 200 attendees including KG1 to KG3 students, teachers, parents and guardians were present at the event, held to provide education for the students by conducting sports activities outside the classrooms to further stimulate them physically and creatively.

The sports activities also served to establish closer relationship between the teachers, parents and guardians by having them participate and support their children, all the while enjoying the day together. The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a speech given by the school’s Acting Principal Aziemah binti Samat, who officiated the event together with the school’s PTA.

Zumba and aerobics sessions were held for attendees to get them ready for the sports activities which included placing balls, hula hoops obstacle course and many more.

The school hoped that with the event, the students will take the opportunity to lead a healthy lifestyle by actively participating in sporting activities, as well as gain parents’ and guardians’ support to hold similar activities at home, to ensure the young students will grow up with a health-focussed mindset.
