BRUFA pays courtesy call on Royal Customs and Excise Dept

MEMBERS of the Brunei Freight Forwarders Association (BRUFA) recently made a courtesy call on the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) and held its first dialogue, at the RCED headquarters.

BRUFA President Thomas Koh and Secretary General Linda Chang introduced BRUFA’s history and activities to the new Acting Controller of RCED Haji Mohsin bin Haji Ahmad and senior officers.

BRUFA reiterated that it has been in working relationship with the RCED over the past decades and appreciates the initiatives by the RCED to develop and streamline the processes in ensuring the facilitation of trade and commerce.

The meeting also discussed logistical development and areas like collaborative efforts to further boost knowledge to facilitate businesses in Brunei Darussalam.

The President and members also presented to the Acting Controller of RCED, the BRUFA past magazine that showcased the relationship of BRUFA and RCED for more than 15 years. It also mentioned that the organisational structure and functions are being upgraded from time to time by the association in line with the current requirements.
