Yunnan border police seized 10.4 tonnes of drugs last year

KUNMING (Xinhua) – Border police in southwest China’s Yunnan Province confiscated about 10.4 tonnes of drugs in 2018, the provincial frontier defence department said.

Among all cases, each of 247 cases involved more than 10kg of drugs and 10 cases involved up to 100kg of drugs each, according to the provincial entry-exit frontier inspection station.

There were 11 cases cracked in joint operations of Chinese police and foreign law enforcement departments, with more than 983kg of drugs seized.
