UTB welcomes 35 new students

UNIVERSITI Teknologi Brunei (UTB) welcomed 35 new post-graduate students for its January 2019 intake of Science Master’s Degree in Research and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) during an orientation event held at the university’s campus in Jalan Tungku Link yesterday. UTB Acting Vice-Chancellor Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Md Taib was among the attendees at the orientation event.

UTB Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Dr Zuruzi bin Abu Samah in his speech congratulated the new post-graduate students who will embark on a new academic journey. He said, “UTB will give its full support for your journey towards success. Lecturers and coordinators will help in your research and they will guide, give advice and will be the source for thesis preparation and for job seeking tips.”

A briefing was also held to familiarise the new students with UTB’s Graduate Studies and Research Office, followed by a briefing on ground rules by UTB Administrators.

UTB is currently offering seven Master’s Degree programmes through courses, Master’s in Research, and Doctorate Degree in Engineering, Business, Computing and Informatics.
