UNIVERSITI Teknologi Brunei (UTB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh at the Main Conference Room of the university on January 16.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by the signing and exchange of the MoU.
Signing on behalf of UTB was its Acting Vice-Chancellor Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Md Taib, while signing on behalf of DUET was its Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammed Alauddin. The exchange of the MoU was represented by Professor Dr Md Khasro Miah.
The ceremony was witnessed by High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam Air Vice Marshal (Rtd) Mahmud Hussain.
According to the press release, under this MoU, UTB and DUET will work together on undergraduate and postgraduate students and academics exchange; joint research, conferences and seminars; student supervisions; and share tactical expertise between the two institutions.
DUET is a leading university in Bangladesh in the arena of engineering and technology. The university offers various engineering programmes for undergraduate and postgraduates.
“UTB continues to work with its stakeholders from the industry and higher education institutions both locally and internationally, to enhance the educational experience of its students and provide solutions to contemporary issues facing the industry and society through translational research,” added the press release.
