Religious ceremony marks 98th Police Day

THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) held a recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday.

The event was held in conjunction with the 98th Police Day celebration.

The guest of honour was Commissioner of the RBPF Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam.

The religious event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah led by Imam of the RBPF Headquarters Surau in Gadong Pengiran Haji Ludin bin Pengiran Haji Metahir.

More than 300 RBPF personnel attended the event including directors, deputy directors, commanding officers of police district, officers, lower rank members and staff as well as invited guests.
