THE Ministry of Education (MoE) in collaboration with DST Communications Sdn Bhd (DST) and Mach Telecommunications Systems Sdn Bhd (MachTel) will offer a short messaging service (SMS) notification service for the soon to be released Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level and IGCSE October/November 2018 examination results.
In a press release, the MoE explained that those wishing to subscribe to this service are required to register online through the ministry’s web portal at www.moe.gov.bn or the e-Darussalam portal at www.gov.bn.
Subscribers can also register through mobile phone via SMS by inputting the following text – MOE <space> REG <space> (Centre Code) <space> (Candidate Number) <space> (Candidate IC Number) – and sending it to 8885555 (for DST subscribers) or 38666 (for Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd subscribers).
The press release noted that no charges will be applied for subscribers who register through the MoE’s web portal or mobile phones.
The public can subscribe to this service starting today.
Examination results will only be sent to subscribers via SMS upon approval from the Department of Examinations, MoE to release the results. Subscribers will be charged BND3 for each SMS result received.
The press release added that the MoE hopes the service will benefit members of the public, in particular parents and the MoE’s stakeholders.
