Our priority is to seek the pleasure of Allah the Almighty: Imam

THE pre-dawn talk at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday, dealt with the topic of attaining the pleasure of Allah the Almighty as the main priority in life.

Titled Mencari Redha Allah (Seeking the Pleasure of Allah the Almighty), the talk was delivered by Imam of the Surau at the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Headquarters in Gadong A/Sgt 6472 Mohamad Yusri bin Haji Abu Bakar.

“When a Muslim seeks to please Allah the Almighty, then He will ease things for him or her. However, if they seek other than Allah the Almighty’s pleasure, then all that they do will be in vain,” he said.

Among those in attendance among the mosque congregants were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Permanent Secretary (Corporate Affairs and Public Administration) at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Haji Roslan bin Haji Taja’ah and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang.

The talk was jointly organised by MoRA, the PMO and the RBPF, as part of the Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat programme prior to the start of the weekly Bandarku Ceria activities.
