Malaysian denies charges of firearms, ‘Kayu Gaharu’ possession

A MALAYSIAN man has denied charges of possession of firearms and possession of Kayu Gaharu with unpaid royalty to the government.

Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman fixed March 18 to 28, 2019 for trial on the case against David anak Empayau, 33, on the two charges of possessing three homemade rifles and 9.722 kilogrammes of Kayu Gaharu which he allegedly committed at 8.35pm on November 28, 2018 at the Kampong Melayan Longhouse in Mukim Bukit Sawat.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Atiyyah Abas’ charges carry penalties of jail, whipping and fine.
