THE Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) is offering a Diploma (level 5) training programme in Hengyi Refinery Operator for its January intake.
The programme is a joint colllaboration between the Centre for Capacity Building (PPK), Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd and IBTE.
The application for the programme opens tomorrow until February 24.
The three-year programme will include 12 months of institutional-based training at IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus, Kuala Belait; 12 months of institutional-based training at Lanzhou Petrochemical Polytechnic, China; and 12 months of on-the-job training at Hengyi Petrochemical Plant, Pulau Muara Besar.
Local and permanent residents aged 17-25 are eligible to apply for the programme. The minimum application requirements of the programme are five GCE ‘O’ Level credits in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, English Language or English as a second language, Physics, Chemistry and at least one any English-medium subject.
Applicants with Brunei Darussalam Qualification Framework (BDQF) Level 4 qualifications in Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec) or BDTVEC Diploma in Engineering background (Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation and Control Engineering / Marine Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Plant Engineering) must also have credits in Physics and Chemistry in GCE ‘O’ Level / IGCSE Examination.
Shortlisted applicants will be subjected to a medical fitness test, interview and written test as part of the admission and selection process.
Applicants are required to register online via www.ibte.edu.bn/tvecas. Those applying using their BDQF Level 4 qualifications, must send copies of the certificates to the Assistant Registrar, IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus by February 25.
