RELIGIOUS authorities yesterday urged the Muslim community to be more motivated towards working or striving to a better level in 2019.

“This is the start of the new school year for students, who should be resolved to succeed and do their very best,” said Imams during the Friday sermon.

“Educators or teachers play an important role in enhancing that resolve and in educating our children, so that they can be an asset for the good of religion, the people and the country.

“Employees should be motivated towards improving their efforts, and in enhancing quality and productivity. Such resolve makes us into better and more trustworthy people.”

The sermon also said that Islam encourages its adherents to embrace change, both spiritually and in the physical sense.

“We should make it a point to change ourselves, and to achieve success and happiness, in addition to reflecting on our weaknesses and the wrongs that we have committed,” said the Imams.
