Event aims to strengthen ties, promote healthy lifestyle

UNIVERSITI Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through its Student Affairs Section in collaboration with the Student Representative Council held a UNISSAku Ceria event recently.

Prior to the activity, mass Subuh prayer was held at the Surau Al-Shafi’I of UNISSA, followed by a Tazkirah Subuh presented by iReady Religious Officer Ustaz Haji Mohammad Ali Taufiq bin Haji Abdul Rahman.

The UNISSAku Ceria event took place at Jalan Menteri Besar Recreational Park and saw the attendance of UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal as the guest of honour.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ahmad Shafiee bin Aim from the Religion and Spirituality Unit, before continuing with a warm-up session of aerobics conducted by the Sports and Logistics Unit.

The proceedings continued with mass walking and cycling activities, and also featured two special activities, namely an Amazing Race and Riadah Santai.

The aim of the event was to further build and strengthen the ties between students as well as to create awareness regarding the importance of looking after one’s health by practising light exercise and activities.
