DPMM FC will begin their campaign in the Singapore Premier League away to last season’s runners-up Home United at the Bishan Stadium in Singapore on March 3 after a fixture list was released on the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) website yesterday.

The Gegar Gegar men will play their first home game of the season against Geylang International at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium on March 9.

The Brunei-based outfit, who finished third last season, face reigning holders Albirex Niigata (S) at the Jurong East Stadium in Singapore on March 15.

DPMM FC will then not be in action until April 7 when they host Tampines Rovers before making the trip to Bishan Stadium against Balestier Khalsa on April 13.

Adrian Pennock’s men will have three consecutive home matches in a space of just eight days against Warriors FC on April 20, Young Lions on April 24 and Hougang United on April 28.

The club’s reverse fixtures will commence against Home United at home on May 4.

There will be a change this season with the shared stadiums initiative as matches will be played at four venues compared to eight in the past namely the Bishan Stadium, Jurong East Stadium, Jalan Besar Stadium and Our Tampines Hub.

The curtain raiser to the new season will see Albirex Niigata (S) – who are also the Singapore Cup defending champions- taking on Home United in the 2019 Community Shield on February 23 at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

The White Swans are taking part in the annual fixture for a fourth consecutive year having won all of the last three. The Japanese outfit are also aiming to win a 14th title in a trophy-laden spell since 2015.
