A CLUSTER 2 World Café 2019 was launched by the Head of Public Relations Unit at the Ministry of Education, Sharinah binti Haji Suhaimi as the guest of honour yesterday.
A World Café or Knowledge Cafe is a structured conversational process for knowledge sharing in which groups of people discuss a topic at several tables, with individuals (school leaders) switching tables periodically and getting introduced to the previous discussion at their new table by a table host.
School leaders play the vital role in making sure the school system runs in its best form by maximising the use of the readily available resources to reap the best outcome particularly in ensuring the delivery of quality teaching that would result in quality learning.
Teachers, on the other hand are the main agents that will drive the processes of teaching and learning in the classrooms.
In order for the teaching and learning processes to be carried out effectively in the classrooms, teachers need to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge especially on curriculum, pedagogy and assessment so that they will be able to deliver effectively.
Thus, one of the school leaders’ role is to make sure teachers will be provided with the knowledge and skills that they need to deliver quality teaching.
Yesterday’s event was also highlighted with the launching of Cluster 2 Official YouTube Channel by the guest of honour. There was also a workshop session on ‘How to Improve School and Home Communications’ by Chairperson of Parents-Teacher-Association, Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Nawi.
